Tom Aspinall drops UFC UK return hint after Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann success

British UFC fighters Tom Aspinall and Muhammad Mokeav have dropped hints over a second potential card in the UK this year. It comes after Dana White confirmed that he plans to bring the UFC back to the country this year after an incredible London card in March - one which White called 'one of the best ever'.

White was extremely complimentary over the British crowd and stated that he initially had no plans to return until the following year, but immediately stated after the card that he would move things around to make it happen.

March 19 saw a stacked card at the 02 Arena, with incredible fights throughout the night - including Paddy Pimblett's first-round win, Molly McCann's incredible KO and Tom Aspinall's statement victory.

After Aspinall's win over Alexander Volkov, he was seen talking to Dana White on the UFC's official social media pages, in which the UFC president stated that he had changed his mind about a second UK card in 2022 - confirming his intentions on a future card this year.

Speaking to the press afterwards, White said: "Tonight was amazing. I had one of the best nights I have had in a long time. I had the best time ever. It’s the English crowd. I love it here. Tonight reminded me how incredible nights in the UK are. We’re coming back this year. I don’t give a s***, I will move things around."

Aspinall stated: "I want to be the UK guy. I don't want to go on a card now and just be another guy on the card. Do you know what I mean? I want to be the UK darling."

Commenting on Instagram recently, Aspinall, along with fellow Manchester fighter and UFC winner Mokeav, hinted a potential return this year. Aspinall wrote: "Massive fight in the works," as Mokeav replied: "Can't wait."
