A toddler has suffered a nasty burn after sitting on a scorching hot tricycle during the current heatwave. Louise Blundell, 41, was playing outside with daughter Harriet when the 16-month-old girl was left with a deep red mark on her leg.
The incident on Sunday afternoon when temperatures peaked at 26C at the family home. Louise said she was in the back garden with Harriet at around 3pm when she put her on a blue tricycle with a plastic seat.
Hours later, Louise discovered the three-inch-long burn mark on her daughter's right leg. Louise, an education advisor, said: "I changed her nappy after dinner and saw this deep red mark.
