Toddler sent home to die given escort from hospital by nearly 100 bikers

A toddler who was sent home to die after a long battle with a brain tumour was given an escort from Wales' children's hospital by nearly 100 bikers. Members of motorcycle clubs across Wales and England descended on the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital in Cardiff on Monday, May 9 to accompany three-year-old William Horne and his parents back to Pontypridd.

William's dad Tom Horne, who is part of the Silurians Motorocycle Club which is affiliated with the Valley Commandos, put out a call on social media to see whether some of his "brothers" would like to give William "a ride home" from hospital. "I thought a couple of my brothers who weren't working would come down and give him a bit of an escort home. William always enjoyed seeing and hearing the lads from the window outside our house," he explained.

"Obviously my call got traction and all the other clubs picked up on it. We ended up having close to 100 bikes there. They just kept coming. Some of them had ridden 400 miles from England to get to us. It was totally mind-blowing for me and just an incredibly moving moment. The support from Outlaws MC, Valley Commandos MC and my fellow brothers at Silurians MC has been unreal."
