A toddler was left with heart failure and in need of a transplant after catching a common "cold" virus.
Evie Green, three, was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy - heart muscle disease - when she was four months old, but thanks to medication, she was fit and healthy.
However, in January she caught a common "cold-like" virus that left her breathless. The virus put pressure on the girl's heart, leaving her with heart failure and she had to have a mechanical device fitted to her heart.
