A toddler brought a loaded Glock pistol into a classroom at the Children’s World Early Learning Center in Canton, Michigan, on Monday morning. A daycare worker spotted the firearm and intervened immediately, preventing a potentially deadly situation, WXYZ reported.
Police Chief Joseph Bialy praised the staff member for the quick response. “That teacher — once recognized that a firearm was in the classroom — took immediate action,” Bialy said. The firearm was still inside a holster when the toddler brought it into the classroom. Because the trigger and trigger guard were completely covered, and the teacher acted so quickly, no one was hurt. The incident was captured on surveillance camera footage.
