NEW DELHI: Young Australia off-spinner Todd Murphy, who closely studied Ravichandran Ashwin during his first tour of India, is eager to incorporate the Indian tweaker's carrom ball into his repertoire ahead of the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final and the Ashes series.
During the four-Test series in India earlier this year, the 22-year-old Murphy impressed by claiming 14 wickets at an average of 25.51. Having gained insights from observing Ashwin's bowling closely, Murphy now aims to add the carrom ball, a delivery Ashwin is known for, to his arsenal of skills.
