Todd Cantwell is a player that would do really well at Rangers according to Simon Ferry, and he won't suffer the same fate as other signings from the English Premier League.
The Norwich City midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Ibrox, with boss Michael Beale addressing the transfer speculation previously but it appears no formal move has been made by the Light Blues. Cantwell, whose deal at Carrow Road ends in the summer, could pen a pre-contract with interested parties but David Wagner's men have already knocked back an offer for his services.
Beale admitted he was keen to recruit in key areas including the Ibrox engine room and he could delve in to his knowledge of the English Championship to lure Cantwell to Glasgow. And Open Goal Broomhill boss Ferry says he can see the 24-year-old being a huge hit in Scottish football.

But the podcast host is keen to stress Cantwell won't suffer the same fate as the likes of Joey Barton and Shane Duffy who flopped when making the switch to Glasgow's big two.
He told Grosvenor Sport: "I really like Todd Cantwell. Norwich are a big club. I've played at Carrow Road and the fans are very demanding so he'll be used to the pressure of playing with a big club.
"When you move to the SPL, you need to be able to run. Players from England have struggled with the intensity because it's like. a game of basketball - it never stops.
"That's why guys like Joey Barton and Shane Duffy struggled when they came to Scotland - because of the intensity. Having seen Cantwell, he can run and he's at a good age where he's still young and he's got that confidence to try things with the ball. Rangers and Celtic love those types of players. I can see Todd doing really well at Rangers."
