Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell last night branded a doubter a "weapon" in a social media spat.
The Ibrox player, 26, had posted a highlight reel featuring clips of him from last season with the caption "The best is coming".
However, the post - on his personal Instagram account - received a mixed response with some followers irked by the clip.
One doubter commented: "perform on the pitch instead of instagram then?"
The sharp response was liked 308 times but Cantwell then fired back at the criticism. Directly responding to the comment, Cantwell branded the user a "weapon".
Cantwell's retort - liked by almost 1,600 users - read: "clips are from me playing you weapon 🛎️"
The Instagram post - which now appears to have no caption - has received almost 14,000 likes.
Cantwell previous faced backlash on Instagram after he shared a celebration shot of himself after scoring against Hearts with the caption "Shushburger please 😂".
The Ibrox midfielder had received an angry response over the post before reuploading the post - minus the caption.
Meanwhile, Philippe Clement has vowed there will be experience coming into Ibrox this summer.
"We had five players going out of the club at the end of their contracts and we didn't get any money in," he told Rangers TV. "We lost five players but for the moment it was easier to get the young players but there will also be experience coming into the building and we need a good balance in the squad of both.
"It was important to find these young talents and I think we found some exciting talents for the future of this club. They are ready to play some minutes in the beginning but certainly in the next couple of years."
