The Chelsea Supporters' Trust have penned an open letter to the club on increases to ticket prices at Stamford Bridge for next week. The statement from the trust claims that proposed season ticket prices are "unconscionable" and warned there could be "irreversible toxicity".
It comes amid plenty of changes to how the club is operating under the new ownership of Boehly and Clearlake Capital, who took over in May 2022. The latest of which was the introduction of a Fan Advisory Board (FAB) that will see some representation from supporters on the board as decisions are made.
The place of such fans has been seen as key in holding the club accountable to making decisions that benefit the fans in the wake of the European Super League proposals that were shot down in April 2021. While that is still being implemented, the supporters' trust are the avenue in which fans are able to communicate with the club.

With the potential change in season ticket prices - which already range between £750 and £1,500 based on location at Stamford Bridge - the CST have put out a statement slamming the decision. The three-page letter to Todd Boehly and the rest of the board touches on key subjects such as the cost of living crisis in the UK, commercial revenue, atmosphere and on-field performances.
Some key quotes from the statement claim that amid the cost of living crisis, the price rises are "unconscionable" and risks pushing supporters away, adding that plenty of fans are having to make sacrifices already to ensure they can afford attending games. There has been a request for further contact between CST and the club, with Chelsea acknowledging the letter.
It remains to be seen how the club will respond to the issue, with a huge decision to be made amid the rising costs of football and living in general.
