After weeks of rumours and counter rumours flowing from different media sources indicating who or had not made it onto Raine's prestigious shortlist we now seem to be on the home straight with Chelsea making a statement last night confirming they had an agreement with Todd Boehly and his consortium.
From what we can gather on Saturday morning when I type these words, they have signed the agreement with Chelsea but need to go through the checks with the Premier League and government before being handed the reigns.
Todd Boehly's consortium, involves Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss, the British entrepreneur Jonathan Goldstein and California investment firm Clearlake Capital.
