Todd Boehly has addressed concerns surrounding the new ownership group at Chelsea – and has hinted at a possible direction the club will move towards in the future.
The U.S billionaire led the consortium that purchased Chelsea in May and brought an end to Roman Abramovich's 19-year reign as owner at Stamford Bridge. But after the decision to sack Thomas Tuchel last week, the majority of Blues supporters have raised concerns about the direction of the club. However, Boehly has outlined the big plans for Chelsea under the new ownership.
The 48-year-old is not an expert in football. And despite his role as interim sporting director this summer, he still lacks experience in the sport. But Boehly is confident his vision can take Chelsea forward and has hinted at implementing a similar model to that of Red Bull and Manchester City to see the Blues progress.
