Todd Boehly could rub salt in the wounds of Arsenal if Chelsea complete the signing of Everton star Amadou Onana. The 21-year-old midfielder, who has been labelled the 'new Patrick Vieira', has been heavily linked with an exit from Goodison Park following the sacking of Frank Lampard.
According to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are considering whether to try and hijack any Blues deal for either Onana or Brighton star Moises Caicedo. It's said that Chelsea are contemplating 'whether or not to try and take advantage' of the ensuing crisis at Everton.
The Toffees may sit in the Premier League relegation zone but the Belgium international has impressed under the former Blues boss. So much so that Roberto Martinez handed Onana his senior debut for his country and named him in the Red Devils' World Cup squad.

The former Everton and Belgium boss is a big admirer of the Chelsea target and even compared him to Arsenal legend Vieira. Speaking to Sky Sports in the summer before Onana arrived on Merseyside, Martinez said: "Really exciting footballer.
"Off the ball, he is one of the most impressive young players with his capacity, without the ball, the intensity, the way he can press, and then it’s that arrival into the box, sometimes he reminds you of a young Patrick Vieira in the way that he can drive with the ball.
"That’s a young player, he’s going to be 21 next week, so you’re still talking about potential, but what is already there is the leadership and the captain material that he brings to Everton."
Onana has featured 18 times for Everton this season, directly contributing towards two goals. The Belgian looks to be an attractive acquisition and it appears that he's pushing for an exit amid possible relegation from the top-flight.
