Chelsea may look to replace Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window after the Moroccan winger has impressed for his nation at the World Cup. Ziyech has been influential in helping Morocco reach the quarter-finals after they beat Spain in a penalty shootout.
Todd Boehly is expected to back Graham Potter in January despite the Blues spending close to £300million in the summer. The 29-year-old winger has started just two matches for Chelsea this season with AC Milan said to be 'ready' to submit an offer for Ziyech.
The Blues could look to beat London rivals Arsenal to the signing of Porto star Pepe as they look to strengthen their attack. Chelsea scouts have monitored the 25-year-old’s progress this season with a report in Portugal suggesting his performances having 'blown them away'.

Pepe has registered eight goal contributions in 22 appearances across all competitions and has impressed Blues and Gunners scouts, as per A Bola, via The Sun. Porto are said to be holding out for at least £65million for Pepe, which would trigger his release clause and allow the player to enter negotiations over a transfer exit.
Ziyech's performances for Chelsea have been underwhelming and he is clearly not a key player in Potter's plans moving forward. This could see the Blues look to cash in on the Moroccan winger and invest funds received from his sale into a move for Pepe.
Christian Pulisic is in a similar situation to Ziyech after the American winger enjoyed a strong World Cup campaign for the USA, with clubs across Europe weighing up a move for the 24-year-old. Should Chelsea wish to sign Pepe, they could look to raise most of the funds for his release clause through player sales as Boehly looks to strengthen the club's attacking options heading into the second half of the season.
