A further 8,516 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland – with the disease sadly claiming another 33 lives.
Data published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland show there are currently 1,389 patients with Covid in Scottish hospitals, which is down five from yesterday.
There are currently 32 people being treated with the disease in ICUs across the nation.
The new fatalities which have been recorded within the last 24 hours mean Scotland's death toll now stands at 10,255.
However, 12,823 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, January 23 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Meanwhile, there are 112 patients with Covid in Ayrshire hospitals – up 11 from yesterday – while fewer than five people are being treated with the illness in the region's intensive care units.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Clackmannanshire has the highest rate in the country – at 588.8 as of Tuesday, January 25.
Aberdeen City has the second-highest infection rate at 582.4 while Fife is third with 578.4.
In terms of Ayrshire's three local authorities, South Ayrshire has the highest rate of 461.9; East Ayrshire's rate stands at 448.2 while North Ayrshire's is 430.5
Of the 294 positive PCR cases reported in Ayrshire, 110 were in North Ayrshire with 102 in East Ayrshire and 82 in South Ayrshire.

A total of 4,407,738 people have received one dose of a Covid vaccine; 4,115,341 are double jabbed and 3,269,583 people have received a third dose/booster.
