Team GB will be out to increase their medal tally even further, starting with the equestrian dressage individual grand prix, while Tommy Fleetwood is firmly in with a medal chance in the men’s golf.
Here’s the best of the action for day two, with the full schedule across the games available here.
Best of today’s action
All times BST unless stated
Equestrian dressage individual grand prix freestyle - 9amCarl Hester, Charlotte Fry and Becky Moody teamed up on day eight to win bronze in the dressage team event, and will now face off in the individual discipline.
Men's tennis singles gold medal match - From 12pm
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz face off for a gold medal in the afternoon, in a repeat of the recent Wimbledon final.
The top two seeds in the men's draw heading into the Games, this is the final everyone wanted and promises to be another thrilling clash.
Alcaraz is set to drop a set on his way to the final, which is up second at Roland Garros from 11am.
Final night of swimming action - From 5.30pm
The final four gold medals of the swimming events will be handed out in the evening with the women's 50m freestyle, men's 1500m freestyle and both the women's and men's 4x100m medley relay finals.
It is hoped that Team GB's Adam Peaty will again be on show after pulling out on the mixed relay on Saturday.
Men’s 100m final - 8:50pm
The blue riband event of athletics programme has lost a little of its shine in the post-Usain Bolt years, but this weekend’s final could throw up a box office clash between America’s Noah Lyles and the most exciting Jamaican sprint talent to emerge since the great man retired.
Kishane Thompson ran a blistering 9.77seconds at his county’s national trials in Kingston and comes in as the fastest man in the world this year, albeit one of ten to have gone quicker than 9.9.
Lyles, though, has championship experience on his side and is looking to repeat his hat-trick of last summer, when he won world gold over 100m, 200m and in the 4x100m relay in Budapest.
