Today FM DJ Pamela Joyce sent cruel letter which leaves her in tears

Today FM DJ Pamela Joyce has shared a cruel, hand-written letter, which left her in tears.

The letter made jabs at her appearance and according to the presenter, dubbed her “horrible”, “cold” and “smug.”

She uploaded an excerpt of it to her Twitter before telling her Instagram followers in a teary message that she "couldn't believe there were people in the world who were that mean"

The letter, which was hand written by a collective of "nine former listeners," said: "The state of you on Ireland AM last week, slouched on the sofa. You could have at least dressed appropriately."

"Maybe spend less time gaming and sitting in front of screens and stop stuffing yourself. No surprise you are single."

"Any man in his right mind would run a mile from you ... and keep running."

Along with the snapshot, Pamela shared: "They wouldn’t even spend the price of a postage stamp on me - it was hand delivered.

"This was the last excerpt in a letter I received today telling me how 'horrible, 'cold' and 'smug' I am. The perks of the job eh."

Sharing a video of herself crying in her car on her Instagram, the Today FM DJ expressed that the letter took unnecessary lashes at her personal appearance and life.

“If you don’t like the show, if you don’t like how I do my job, that is fine, you don’t have to listen," she said.

“You don’t have to take a piece of paper and write down how much you hate me and send it to me. But who are you to comment on how I look? It’s none of your business. How I look, how I live my life, what I do…”

“I just can’t believe there are people that mean in the world. I would like to believe that 95% of people in the world are nice people and they wouldn’t do something like that, but if there’s something that you don’t like about someone, you don’t have to tell them. You don’t gain anything by telling them.”
