A mum "thought she was going to "explode" after claiming she got food poisoning from a popular restaurant chain.
The mum who did not want to be named said she and a friend decided to head to the Stoneycroft Toby Carvery on Queens Drive after watching the Liverpool match on Sunday, October, 9. The mum-of-five said she filled her plate "with all the trimmings" and felt fine when she left the restaurant at around 9pm.
However, after working from home on Monday by the afternoon she had diarrhea and felt "horrendous". When she called up her friend she found that he also was suffering from a severe bout of, what they believed to be food poisoning.

Speaking to the ECHO she said: "There was this girl who came to the front of the queue with a member of staff looking distressed and holding her plate up to the manager which I thought was odd. I think she was complaining about the food.
"I had not eaten anything all day the carvery was the only thing I had. Then on Monday we both had really bad diarrhea and luckily I was working from home, I dread to imagine what would have happened if I had gone to work, honestly, it was horrendous."
The mum said she has had food poisoning once before when she was given some "dodgy" mussels her son had made. She said the "food poisoning" from the carvery is "not going away" and claims she called the manager of the Stoneycroft who "totally denied" that she and a friend had been stricken with food poisoning.
The 53-year-old said: "I rang up because I was very concerned for the elderly people who were there. I'm 53 and a healthy person but they might not be able to take it.
"The manager was in denial and I don't believe for a second that he has not had other complaints. I just felt he needed to be aware of what happened."
The mum has reported the Stoneycroft to the Food Standards Agency and said she has had to work from home for the last week.
She said: "It is just not something I have experienced we can all have a bit of a dodgy Chinese and feel a bit rough after. There is a difference between having a bad stomach and feeling like you are going to explode from every orifice."
