Mainor, a Georgia state representative from the ultra-Democratic Atlanta Westside, has earned adoration from conservatives after spurning her own party with votes for private school vouchers and increased oversight of “rogue” prosecutors.
With appearances on “Fox & Friends,” favorable articles by the conservative website Breitbart and retweets from the Republican National Committee, Mainor has found a receptive audience for views that conflict with her fellow Democrats in the state House.
