TK Maxx has issued an urgent warning to anybody who bought a hanging egg chair from them.
The store had discovered a safety issue with two different types of egg chairs, which "may cause an injury" to people using them. Posters outside their stores state anybody who bought the Gardener's Eden Blue Egg Chair between May 2021 and June 2022 or the Urban Balcony Foldable Hanging Chair between April and July 2021 should "stop using it immediately".
A poster outside a store in Aintree said: "We have identified an quality issue with the Gardener's Eden Blue Egg Chair. It is possible for the chair to tip over to collapse during use which may cause an injury.
