TK Maxx has issued a product recall for a garden egg chair that presents "risk of injuries" from use. The retailer has asked people to stop using the garden chair immediately but has said the issue does not affect any other styles of its hanging chairs.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards has said the product has been identified as presenting a risk of injuries as it is possible for the chair to tip over or collapse during use. If the product fails during use, the user may experience injuries, the government body added.
It also said the garden egg chair does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The chair - also sold in Homesense - was on sale at branches of the two retailers between May 2021 and June 2022.
