Liverpool have confirmed striker Natasha Dowie will return to parent club Reading following the conclusion of her loan spell on Merseyside.
The 34-year-old first joined the Reds in 2012, netting 45 goals in 66 appearances to help Matt Beard's side to back-to-back Women's Super League titles. Her prolificacy in front of goal saw her finish top scorer in the 2013 season and named FA players' player of the year.
After spells with an array of overseas clubs, Dowie returned to the WSL in 2021, scoring seven goals in 27 games for Reading. The former England international returned to Liverpool on loan in the January transfer window, netting twice as the Reds secured a seventh-placed finish in their first season back in the top flight.

However, the club confirmed on Thursday the striker would be returning to her parent club, who were relegated from the WSL last term after winning just three of their 22 league games.
In a statement, a Liverpool spokesperson said: "It was Dowie's second spell at Liverpool and she scored Barclays Women's Super League goals against Manchester City and Aston Villa, taking her club total to 47.
"Everyone at LFC would like to thank 'Tats' for her contribution and wish her the very best for everything to come in the future."
Dowie's departure follows the news that seven other senior players will leave the club this summer. Defenders Leighanne Robe, Megan Campbell and Rhiannon Roberts, alongside goalkeepers Rylee Foster and Charlotte Clarke and midfielders Ashley Hodson and Carla Humphrey will all embark on new chapters in their careers following the expiration of their contracts.
