Titans’ social media team falls one spot in annual rankings

Anyone who follows the Tennessee Titans closely on social media can tell you just how much the team’s content has improved over the last few years.

In fact, it was just a few months ago when Tennessee’s social media team went viral for having what was widely considered the funniest and most creative schedule release video in the entire league.

However, despite having one of the most memorable moments of the entire offseason, the Titans’ official Twitter account somehow took a slight step back in Complex Sports’ annual social media rankings for NFL teams.

After coming in at No. 17 a year ago, Tennessee’s social media team landed at No. 18 this time around.

Here is what Complex Sports had to say about the Titans’ ranking:

The Tennessee Titans, without a doubt,  won schedule release day with their creative video interviewing random people and asking them to name random logos. The video garnered almost 30 million impressions on Twitter and this alone raises them on the list.

Judging by the latter part of that write-up, it seems the Titans were destined to be one of the teams ranked toward the bottom of this year’s list had they not produced one of the most viral moments that was widely loved by football fans and media everywhere.

Nonetheless, if the Titans’ social media team can continue producing high-quality work like what we saw back in May (and really, what we see quite often), we could see a much improved ranking on next year’s list.
