The Tennessee Titans finally added some much-needed depth and talent to their wide receiver room on Wednesday after signing former Texans wideout Chris Moore.
Tennessee’s interest in Moore recently leaked to the public, and the deal is now official.
This isn’t going to move the championship needle by any means, but the Titans need all the help they can get offensively at the moment, and Moore is coming off a career year in Houston.
Moore totaled 548 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 48 catches last year. His best game came against Dallas back in Week 14 where he was targeted 11 times, catching 10 of those passes for 124 yards.
Ideally, one would have preferred for the Titans to go the younger route considering Moore will be 30 in a few months, but this at least brings an experienced and relatively reliable receiver into a room that needs both of those things.
Nevertheless, this shouldn’t change anything when it comes to the draft, Tennessee still needs to find a competent wideout to pair with Treylon Burks atop the depth chart, and I would expect that to happen sometime within the first two days of the draft.
