The Tennessee Titans are reportedly set to interview Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson for their head coaching vacancy.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans and Johnson will speak about the job on Friday.
Johnson took the job as Eagles offensive coordinator in 2023 and had the tough task of replacing Shane Steichen after he took the job with the Indianapolis Colts.
It’s safe to say Johnson failed at that task after the Eagles regressed offensively.
Granted, Philly had no shortage of internal issues and there’s no question quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled, but Johnson’s play-calling left me scratching my head on several occasions this season.
It also looks like Johnson isn’t long for Philly, as the Eagles are reportedly exploring coordinator options.
With Johnson set to interview, the Titans have just one candidate who they requested an interview with but have not set something up with: Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
