The Tennessee Titans have been teasing Houston Oilers throwbacks for months now and the date for the reveal has finally been set.
Justin Melo of The Draft Network posted an e-mail sent out by the Titans stating that the reveal would occur on Sunday, July 23 at 8:00 p.m. CT, so mark your calendars. One would assume this will happen on social media.
The e-mail includes the words “new drip” and “coming soon” with a picture of a helmet covered in oil and the reveal date at the bottom.
Tennessee was originally expected to wear their Oilers throwbacks for one home game in 2023, but beat writer Jim Wyatt recently stated they might wear them for multiple games, one home and one away.

To add a little juice to it all, it remains possible the Titans will wear them against the Houston Texans, whose fan base is none too pleased about Tennessee owning Oilers history.
