Titans Pulling All-Time Troll Move vs. Texans in Week 15, and NFL Fans Can’t Stop Laughing About It

We’ve got uniform drama in the NFL.

Sunday’s matchup between the Texans and Titans pit the two franchises that have called Houston home in their histories against one another. And the Titans, once the Houston Oilers, have added some spice to the matchup with the decision to wear throwback Oilers-themed jerseys for the game. Tennessee has rocked these throwbacks plenty of times before, but pulling them out against the new team from the city they left in the 1990s certainly got fans talking.

The 1970s-themed jerseys are pretty sweet, but the history behind them makes this move a controversial one.

It sparked a debate on social media over who truly owns Houston’s football history: The franchise or the local community. It’s certainly a unique circumstance, but Tennessee choosing to rub some salt in the wound should add some extra heat to the divisional matchup on Sunday.
