The Tennessee Titans once again find themselves in the top 10 of a way-too-early 2022 NFL offseason power rankings.
Touchdown Wire’s Nick Wojton places the Titans in the No. 7 spot in his rankings. Here’s what he had to say about Tennessee.
“The Titans go where Ryan Tannehill takes them. He’s rarely going to blow a game wide open, so the way things are lining up again in Tennessee, the plan is to help the QB. With Julio Jones and A.J. Brown in the fold, bringing someone in to master the middle of the field like a tight end could help the Titans remain at the top of the AFC– assuming their defensive turnaround from 2021 rolls over.”
Wojton hits the nail on the head for what the Titans’ approach should be this offseason.
With the reality that the Titans really can’t move on from Ryan Tannehill, general manager Jon Robinson has to do what he can to make things better around his quarterback, who he has endorsed.
Improving pass protection is vital, as is adding depth at wide receiver (and someone who can work the middle of the field) and an upgrade at tight end.
After recently compiling a bunch of different 2022 NFL power rankings, it’s clear the Titans are getting at least some kind of respect, as Tennessee hasn’t been ranked any lower than No. 10, with a high-water mark of No. 5.
