During the 2024 offseason, the Tennessee Titans made a huge move by acquiring cornerback L’Jarius Sneed in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did the team surrender draft capital to make the deal happen, but they also gave Sneed a lucrative contract extension. After four weeks, that decision is already showing dividends.
Sneed came in and helped solidify the Titans secondary. Through four games, he has allowed five catches on 12 targets for 65 yards and is playing like a number-one cornerback should.

This was extremely apparent in the 31-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins, where he held star receiver Tyreek Hill in check. The Titans needed a big game and he delivered with running mate Chidobe Awuzie being placed on injured reserve and rookie Jarvis Brownlee Jr. making his first start against a dynamic receiving corps.
Sneed will now have some extra time to rest his hamstring that flared up prior to the Dolphins game with the team on a bye before their Week 6 battle with the Indianapolis Colts. Until then, it’s safe to say that the Titans have one of the best defenses in the NFL to this point in the season and he is a major reason for their success.
So far, it’s been money well spent.
