Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard has been one of the team’s most consistent players since he became a full-time starter back in 2017.
The Titans’ star safety has transformed himself from a third-round pick who wasn’t even invited to the NFL Combine to an All-Pro defensive back who is now the Titans era leader in career interceptions (27).
The man known as the “Mayor of Murfreesboro” has also been consistent off the field with the media, as he always makes himself available after games — win or lose — and is kind and cordial with the group.
As a result, Byard has been gifted the “Good Guy” award from the Nashville chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America.
The Associated Press’ Teresa Walker was aided by Titans legendary running back Eddie George in presenting the award to the Middle Tennessee State product on Thursday afternoon.
You can find the presentation in its entirety in the video attached below, which was posted by FOX Sports’ Ben Arthur.
