With the Tennessee Titans’ desperate need for help at defensive line, the team brought in Sebastian Joseph-Day for a free-agent visit on Monday.
The visit was listed on the league’s transactions wire, although there is no reported deal imminent between the two sides as of this writing.
As things stand now, the Titans have Jeffery Simmons and a group of players who figure to be backups, at best, in 2024, leaving Tennessee in search of two starters in a free-agent market that has dried up.
A former sixth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams, Joseph-Day has started in 68 of the 71 games he’s played in during his career.
In 2023, he appeared in 14 games with the Los Angeles Chargers before being waived late in the season and signing with the San Francisco 49ers. Joseph-Day tallied 36 tackles (three for loss) and tied his career-high with three sacks.
The Rutgers product offers some versatility, as he’s played defensive tackle in a 4-3, nose tackle and defensive end.
