The Tennessee Titans are set to open the 2024 NFL season on Sunday against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago and have made a couple small roster moves in preparation.
Titans elevate LB Luke Gifford and DL James Lynch from PSquad for Sunday’s opener

The Titans are elevating recently released linebacker Luke Gifford and defensive lineman James Lynch from the practice squad and are now eligible to suit up in the matchup.
In 2024, a player can be elevated from the practice squad for a maximum of three regular-season games in the same year and any number of postseason games without taking up a spot on the 53-man active roster. That’s a slight change from 2023 when the NFL only allowed players to be elevated twice during the regular season.
This is a good sign that cornerback Chidobe Awuzie will be available on Sunday. A late addition to the injury report, he was limited in Friday’s practice.
For Gifford and Lynch, this is the first elevation of the 2024 season.
