Titans elevate Matthew Wright, place Otis Reese on injured reserve

The Tennessee Titans dipped into their practice squad on Saturday to add some reinforcements for their Sunday afternoon battle with the Houston Texans.

Tennessee will need a lot of help with eight players already declared out for the game. One of those, linebacker Otis Reese, was placed on injured reserve with his ankle injury ending his 2024 campaign. To help take his place, the Titans signed outside linebacker Khalid Jones and wide receiver Tay Martin to the active roster.

After those moves, the Titans elevated safety Gervarrius Owens and kicker Matthew Wright for Sunday. Both of these moves were standard elevations and both players will return to the practice squad after the game.

With Arden Key, Amani Hooker, Tyler Boyd and kicker Nick Folk already out, these moves will add depth as the Titans limp into their finale.

The Titans will take on the Titans at Nissan Stadium on Sunday to end their disappointing 2024 season.
