The National Football league announced the compensatory pick selections on Thursday for the upcoming NFL Draft, and the Tennessee Titans didn’t come away with any.
According to the league’s official website, any NFL team that loses more free agents that fall into the compensatory pick formula than it gains in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.
In addition, comp picks are awarded to teams that lose minority employees to another team for a head coach or general manager role.
Unfortunately, as expected, the Titans didn’t receive any extra selections this time around, but Tennessee’s hiring of Ran Carthon as general manager yielded an extra third-round selection for the San Francisco 49ers.
In all, the Niners walked away with an astounding seven comp picks thanks to a mix of losing both free agents and minority employees. Here’s a look at the full rundown of comp picks.

Now that the Titans have their general manager in place, and the Niners have their extra draft picks, let’s hope this deal ends up being mutually beneficial for all parties involved.
