The Tennessee Titans have reportedly brought in Utah linebacker Mohamoud Diabate for a top-30 visit, according to Justin Melo of The Draft Network. He is also expected to visit the Minnesota Vikings.
The Utah product had an impressive 2022 campaign, finishing with career-highs in tackles (58), tackles for loss (13.5) and sacks (five).
Diabate played multiple roles in college and brings some versatility with him after serving as a defensive end for two years before moving to an off-ball linebacker.
For more information on the 6-foot-3, 221-pound linebacker, check out this scouting report from The Draft Network’s Joe Marino, who projects that Diabate will go somewhere in the fifth round.
The Titans could certainly be in the market for a linebacker at some point in the draft, as the jury is still out on guys like Monty Rice and Azeez Al-Shaair as full-time starters.
However, with the Titans having a lot of needs on offense, Day 3 feels like the sweet spot for when they’ll start considering defensive players. If that’s the case and the aforementioned fifth-round projection holds up, Diabate could be an option.
