We have our first 53-man roster surprise of the day, as Tennessee Titans 2023 UDFA and defensive back, Anthony Kendall, has reportedly made the cut.
According to Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, Kendall will be on the initial 53-man roster. While not totally shocking considering he’s received praise from head coach Mike Vrabel on multiple occasions, it’s always at least somewhat surprising to see an undrafted rookie make the cut.
Kendall, who played his college ball for a Division III school in Baldwin Wallace College, managed to stand out during the offseason, but did so especially on special teams, which no doubt helped his cause greatly.
Vrabel said he liked what he saw on defense and special teams from Eric Garror, Armani Marsh and Anthony Kendall on Saturday. Said some guys will move up from third team to second team this week to get more playing time.
