The Tennessee Titans lost more than the game in Sunday’s 30-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is likely to miss several weeks with a groin injury, something that could land him on injured reserve, and defensive end Jeffery Simmons suffered an elbow injury.
Jarvis Brownlee will have to step up with Awuzie injury. Callahan made it sound like Awuzie could end up on IR@Titans

Brownlee was drafted by the Titans in the fifth round of this year’s draft and the rookie typically lines up on the right side of the field. Stepping in for Awuzie would see him switch sides of the field. In three games he’s recorded six tackles (all solo) and two stuffs.
Another option for the Titans is elevating Tre Avery from the practice squad. Avery appeared in 14 games in 2022 and 15 games in 2023 for the Titans, recording 62 tackles (51 solo) and 11 passes defensed.
Callahan also mentioned the possibility of Tre Avery being promoted to add depth at CB@Titans

As it stands, L’Jarius Sneed is starting right corner with Brownlee backing him up. Awuzie starts at left corner with Darrell Baker Jr. backing him up. With Awuzie injured, the Titans will ask more of both Brownlee and Baker, but it also wouldn’t be surprising to see Avery back on the sideline.
The only other injury of note was an elbow injury for Jeffery Simmons, he is officially listed as day-to-day.
Awuzie is in his eighth season and his loss means more to the defense than the plays he makes on the field. His leadership is irreplaceable, and his absence will be noticed.
