When reporters arrived in the Tennessee Titans’ locker room on Wednesday, there was a new face there in defensive lineman Marlon Davidson.
According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, the Titans have signed the former second-round pick to their practice squad after working him out during the bye week.
Davidson is just the latest addition to the practice squad after the team inked both linebacker Joseph Jones and running back Jonathan Ward on Tuesday.
After being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2020, Davidson appeared in 19 games over two seasons with the team, but things didn’t pan out. He landed on injured reserve at the start of 2022 and was eventually the following month.
Davidson spent time on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad this season but didn’t appear in a game for them. He hasn’t taken a snap since the 2021 campaign.
The Auburn product tallied 21 tackles, one sack and a pick-six during his time in Atlanta. It’s doubtful he’ll see the field in Week 8, but if he does, Davidson will be facing his former team.
