Fans have unearthed an alternative ending to James Cameron's Titanic which they find hilarious in comparison with the original.
In the alternative ending, an elderly Rose is quickly intercepted by Brock Lovett and Rose's granddaughter, moments before she attempts to throw the necklace away.
In the scene, Brock begs Rose not to throw the jewel into the ocean and instead, she lets him hold it for a moment. She tells him: "You look for treasure in the wrong places, Mr Lovett. Only life is priceless, and making each day count."
Rose then takes the jewel back and carelessly throws it over her shoulder and into the ocean, making a bizarre "oh" noise as she lets it go.
Brock's partner, Lewis Bodine rushes over, looking over the edge of the ship before shouting: "That really sucks, lady!"
Brock then looks up to the sky and starts maniacally laughing before inviting Rose's granddaughter to dance.
Upon discovering the alternative ending, Titanic fans took to Twitter, with one writing: "The alternate ending to Titanic is hilarious. This would have absolutely ruined the film for me."
"Damn I was really hoping he was gonna grab the necklace and shove her off. I don’t even remember what the real ending was," another wrote.
A third added: "“That really SUCKS, lady!!!” Absolutely took me out."
A fourth said that the ending reminded them of a Saturday Night Live sketch, writing: "This looks like a SNL parody of the real ending."
James Cameron 's Titanic movie is one for the ages and is still hugely popular today, almost 25 years after its release.
The hit flick starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet hit the big screens in 1998 and quickly won plaudits across the world. It told the story of a wealthy teen who meets an artist on board the ill-fated ship and quickly falls in love.
