Know your limits
Glastonbury has a wide variety of stages and fields. With so much going on there's plenty of time to take yourself out of your comfort zone.
Try to refrain from throwing yourself in the deep end and going to the biggest stage with the biggest audience - there's nothing wrong with hanging around the edges and getting a feel of the atmosphere before you join in.
Takes it slow
Large crowds have a tendency to move slowly, especially at the most popular sites at Glastonbury. When moving through a crowd be mindful of others and try not to push everyone around - remember, patience is a virtue.
Announcements from stages and security staff can also help you prepare to move through a large crowd.
Take your time
If you don't enjoy being in a large crowd, wait a few minutes to leave after a big performance has taken place. Glastonbury advises its visitors to take 15 minutes to soak up the atmosphere before rushing off to the next thing.
For a quick exit, leave out of the side
If you're in a large crowd and are looking to make an exit, stay calm and head for the sides, not the back. Furthermore, if you feel too squeezed in a crowd, turning sideways to the direction of pressure can increase your comfort.
Look out for others
Always keep an eye out for the people next to you in a crowd. For example, if someone near you has fallen over or feel like they're not enjoying themselves, try helping them out.
Arrange a meeting point
Text messages can sometimes take a while to arrive which can be concerning if you become separated form your party. Because of this, establishing a meeting place at the edge of an arena can help you and your friends reunite much more easily.
