Viewers of ITV’s Tipping Point were quick to draw comparison between a contestant and The Inbetweeners’ Will Mackenzie. From the moment that GP Ramy Al-Rufaie from Nottingham introduced himself, Twitter was alight with people saying that he had a famous doppelgänger.
As Ramy battled it out to win £10,000 on the quiz show, fans across social media began sharing gifs and clips of the character, played by actor Simon Bird. Much like Will, Ramy had dark hair and glasses and Twitter user shabbapne even said: “Not only does he look like Will but he has the mannerisms too!”

Other viewers were quick to agree. chipshopsteve said: “Inbetweeners Will McKenzie on #tippingpoint” and Micky60738395 said: “Ramy looks like Will off The Inbetweeners”
For Ramy, all he wanted to do was take his wife on the Orient Express with host Ben Shephard saying that he’ll “love it”. We doubt he expected to go on the show with ideas for this year’s Halloween costume. That said, Dr Ramy wrote on Twitter, encouraging viewers to tune in: “why not liven up the end of your week by seeing me win big… or possibly make a complete a**e of myself”
At the end of the episode, Ramy had the last laugh as he became the episode's winner and got the chance to play for the Jackpot counter. Luckily for him, he won the £10,000 counter and was beaming as the credits rolled. @ryanponton26 even congratulated Ramy on Twitter: "Well done to Will from Inbetweeners winning the 10k on Tipping Point".
