A Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship clash was abandoned as county player Dillon Quirke was stretchered off the field of play.
Tipperary GAA confirmed the clash between Clonoulty-Rossmore and Kilruane McDonaghs has been abandoned after an injury to a player.
And it was later confirmed that Tipperary star Dillon Quirke was stretchered off the field of play.
Quirke's side Clonoulty-Rossmore were leading by 1-08 to 0-8 coming up to the half hour mark before play was stopped and the forward received medical attention.
Referee Michael Kennedy consulted with both management teams before it was decided the game would be abandoned..
Quirke started all four games for Tipperary in this year's Championship and lined out at wing back in each of the games this summer.
