Tiny sausage dog obsessed with carrying really, really big sticks

A tiny dog with a passion for extra large sticks is making millions of people smile.

Five-year-old dachshund Bosco is obsessed with seeking out the biggest stick in the park - and insists on carrying it around in everyone's way.

The mischievous little pup will often obstruct walkways, but nobody ever gets annoyed with him - he's far too adorable for that.

Bosco has a loyal following online with over 1.3 million fans on TikTok, and has even started his own dog stick trend.

Owner Luccia Rodriguez, 24, based in London, told The Mirror : "Carrying big sticks is Bosco's favourite thing to do. He loves making people happy and thrives off the attention."

In the video of Bosco, you can see just how popular he is with local dog walkers in the park, who all make way for his royal canine highness.

He proudly walks with his ginormous stick, taking up the entire pathway and dodging people's feet.

"Strangers will clap for Bosco and most people get their cameras out to film," Luccia said. "Elderly people seem to be such big fans."

Luccia says Bosco's stick obsession started when he was six months old, and he's loved them ever since.

"It was soon after a storm and we were walking on a heath. He spotted big branches that had been blown over and tried to pick one up," she explained.

"We thought it was cute and he loved the attention from other people in the park so started to do it more."

About three years ago, Luccia began posting videos of Bosco on Instagram for family and friends to see - then one year ago created a TikTok account and it took off.

His fans are most shocked by the tiny size of Bosco and the huge sticks he succeeds in carrying.

"He manages to find that perfect spot and will try again and again until he does. He doesn't like the stick dragging," Luccia said.

"When he gets tired, he'll drop it and carry on with the walk."

As much as Bosco would love to take each and every giant stick home, Luccia just doesn't have the space for it.

It's not just sticks Bosco has a habit of picking up - he's carried water bottles, dummies, brooms, walking canes and even scooters.

"He's a bit like a raccoon - he loves picking up general rubbish," she said.

Luccia will often replace Bosco's sticks with props for big holidays - on Valentine's Day it was an arrow, and at Christmas it was a tree.

She says Bosco definitely thinks he's a big dog and has "little man syndrome".

Though it's no surprise he's got confidence, when celebrities like Will Smith have shared their love for him online.

"Bosco met Ricky Gervais in the park once and barked at him, and Will Smith reposted one of his videos," Luccia said.

Luccia describes Bosco as adventurous, loving and independent, and says he has a "very strong personality".

"He puts everyone in such a good mood and it makes me happy when people are so nice," she added.
