Arsenal and Chelsea fans appeared to take plenty of pleasure in Premier League rivals Manchester United going one goal down to Cypriot opponent Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League. Karim Ansarifard gave the home side the lead ten minutes before the halfway point in the game, finishing into the roof of the net.
The side commonly known as Omonia are led by former Celtic manager Neil Lennon, sitting fifth in the Cyprus division after an inconsistent start to the season. Europe hasn't been much kinder to them either, facing defeat against Real Sociedad and Sheriff in the group so far.
Discussing the task ahead before the match, Lennon told BT Sport: "They get a dose of reality after about two minutes, we try to prepare them for that. They’re [Manchester United] great players but they’re beatable, we’ve shown them videos of being good and not so good.

"I’ve got six or seven internationals who’ve played at a high level anyway. I’ve got the British boys they’ve played big games for Celtic and Rangers but it’s about getting to the tempo of the game."
They certainly managed to do just that, keeping the Red Devils out in the early stages of the match before striking themselves before half-time. A defeat could be huge for Erik ten Hag, who has just come off the back of a huge 6-3 defeat in the Manchester Derby at the weekend.
Arsenal and Chelsea fans have looked on in delight though, hopeful that their sides can finish above them in the Premier League this season. They took to social media shortly after the goal, with plenty taking time to laugh at their rivals.
