Thomas Fahmy was walking along a rain-soaked pavement when the incident occurred. The viral footage shows him approaching a white picket fence as rain fell around him.

As Fahmy walked towards the property, a sudden flash of lightning lit up the area. The bolt appeared to strike in his vicinity, briefly overwhelming the doorbell camera with a bright burst of light.

Fahmy disappeared from view for a few moments after the flash. He then reappears and continues walking towards the property.

He reaches the gate, opens it and walks up the garden path towards the house. He was carrying a black bag as he made his way to the entrance.
