Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev 'sued by diamond company he pretended to be heir of'

Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev is reportedly being sued by the diamond company he pretended to be the heir of.

The conman, who became well known after the Netflix documentary about him came out earlier this year, had claimed he had ties with Israeli Russian diamond tycoon Lev Leviev and his diamond company.

According to Page Six, Lev and his daughter Chagit Leviev , who is the CEO of Leviev Group USA, have launched legal action against Simon.

He was accused of making 'false representations' by pretending to be Lev's son.

"For a long time, he [Simon] has been making false representations as being the son of Lev Leviev and receiving numerous benefits (including material ones), cunningly and using false words, claiming to be a member of the Leviev Family, and that his family will pay and bear the costs of his benefits," the court documents obtained by the publication says.

"He even used the LLD Diamonds trademark to make his victims believe that he was indeed part of the diamond company (it’s CEO no less, per his signature) and was a member of the Leviev Family."

The court documents went on to say that Simon, who was born as Shimon Hayut, had 'defrauded, cheated, conned, falsified, and hurt women, men and businesses'.

Chagit also told the publication that they went to the police in Israel, but Simon “was moving through so many different countries it was hard to keep track of him.”

In the documentary, three women claim they were conned out of hundreds of thousands of pounds by the 31-year-old.

One victim, Cecilie Fjellhøy, claimed that she agreed to fly away with him to a five-star hotel abroad after a single one-hour coffee date.

The woman fell in love with the conman as they lived a luxurious lifestyle.

In order to get money from them, he claimed he was being tracked by ‘enemies’ who could turn violent and desperately turned to his tinder matches, including Cecilie, for financial support.

After receiving the money, he would disappear without ever repaying the tens of thousands he convinced them to hand over.

It is estimated he conned a number of women out of $10 million (£7.4 million) between 2017 and 2019.

Simon was already previously imprisoned in 2015 for fraud.

He's also wanted in several countries around the world for a number of fraud accusations.

The conman even attempted to deny he is a fraudster.

He had said: “I’m not a fraud and I’m not a fake. People don’t know me – so they cannot judge me.”
