Tina Malone 'looks 40' as she embraces new outlook on life

Tina Malone says she looks younger than ever after celebrating a milestone birthday.

The actress celebrated her 60th birthday last month but said she doesn't look a day over 40. Tina said her "age is a privilege" after several back-to-back funerals gave her a new perspective on life, she told Closer.

Her new outlook has led to a more positive mental attitude with her wearing her self-love on her sleeve. Discussing her age, she said: "I’m so proud of being 60, it’s a ripe old age and I look 40!

"People always say ‘you can’t be 60,’ I love telling people. I feel the best I ever have – and I think I probably feel the sexiest I have in my life too.

"I’m going to visit a different country every single month this year. In January I went to Spain, February is Rome. I also want to go to Poland, Holland and LA."

Tina spent her 60th surrounded by friends and family at a lavish get-together. Liverpool legend Pete Price was on the list of invited guests but had to turn down the occasion due to work commitments but those in attendance managed to party with Tina, declaring her an "icon" on social media in the subsequent days.

The 60-year-old stepped away from alcohol after realising she was putting away "30 or 40 gin and tonics no problem". She said: "Once I stopped, that was it. I went to AA meetings on and off and found them helpful, but in all honesty, I never felt tempted to touch another drop. As with everything in my life, it had to be a case of all or nothing, and my days of drinking were well and truly over."
