- US actress Tina Fey made a whimsical entrance as Mary Poppins to the cast of the UK edition of Saturday Night Live (SNL) in a preview released by Sky TV.
- Fey, a celebrated former head writer and lead cast member on the US SNL, is set to host the UK series' debut episode on 21 March, with indie band Wet Leg as musical guests.
- During her entrance, Fey delivered props from a magical bag, including a crown for 'royal stuff' and a case labelled 'The Epstein files', prompting a joke from cast member Ania Magliano.
- She also joked about hosting to gain dual citizenship and made a swift exit after the cast revealed they were all wearing engagement rings.
- SNL UK will be broadcast live from London at 10pm every Saturday night on Sky and streaming service Now, with each episode lasting 75 minutes.
