Two celebrity doppelgangers have taken the old adage of “dress for the job you want, not the job you have” to the next level by scoring an invite to the Golden Globes 2025.
Miles Mitchell and Maxwell Braunstein made headlines last year after winning lookalike contests for their uncanny resemblances to Timothée Chalamet and Glen Powell, respectively.
Now, the pair have found themselves on the Golden Globes red carpet alongside a sign that says “I won a lookalike contest and now I’m at the Golden Globes”.
I mean, talk about being God’s favourite, right?
Mitchell won the lookalike contest at Washington Square Park that kicked off the whole lookalike contest craze after the real Timmy C attended and personally congratulated the winner.
Following the Chalamet lookalike contest in New York back in October, Mitchell was also able to hang out with the real Timothée at a screening last month.
Similarly, Braunstein won a lookalike contest in Powell’s hometown of Austin that was judged by none other than Powell’s own mum. While Glen wasn’t in attendance, he did send a video congratulating the winner.
Thankfully, Braunstein finally got to meet Glen in the flesh on the red carpet, alongside his mother as the Powells nervously wait to see if he will bring home his first Golden Globe for his performance in Hit Man.
Chalamet will also hope to take home his first Golden Globe today for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
