Timetable unclear for Justin Jefferson injury

After losing four of the first five games of this season, the Minnesota Vikings season may have just lost their best player. According to head coach Kevin O’Connell, Justin Jefferson suffered a hamstring injury and it is “too early to tell how much that will impact him.”

After winning against the Carolina Panthers last season, the thoughts of blowing it up and looking towards the future had dissipated. Now, after starting 1-4 and losing their best player, the talks of blowing it up are back in full force.

Cousins showed today that he can find the secondary targets in this offense, as long as he has good enough protection. However, Jefferson draws attention that none of the other pass-catchers in this offense can.

The Vikings catch a break with having to face the Chicago Bears next week. While you don’t need to have “The Bear” to cook against the Bears’ 31st-ranked defense, it will still be an uphill battle to go against a divisional opponent with ten days to prepare.
