He may be from SEC country, but former Florida Gator and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow does know a thing or two about what he speaks of. He played the game at a high, high more heart than almost anyone else you’ll ever see strap on a helmet.
And while he’s a polarizing figure for reasons I’ll never understand, he’s still an analyst you should pay attention to because of his game knowledge, character, and experience playing the game of football.
Tebow recently gave us his five Heisman favorites and you might be interested in what he said about Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. Where does he have him and what does Tebow think gives Stroud a good chance to bring home the bronze statue for OSU for the first time since Troy Smith did in 2006?
“I think when you talk about C.J., you talk about someone that — I think can spin it about as good as anybody in college football right now,” Tebow said. “He’s got such a talented arm and he’s got a really good supporting cast around him, and I also think that he’s just driven and his competitiveness. I think he’s got a lot stronger in the offseason and I think that’s going to help.”
Here are Tebow’s five players to watch when it comes to the Heisman Trophy. Stroud will need to outpace them all if he has designs of making it to New York and taking the hardware home.
